My Favorite 2011 Trends!

1. Harem Pants- I’m so glad that Harem pants have gained even more popularity this year! They were first seen on runways about 3 years ago, but it wasn’t until 2011 where we saw more of them on the streets. The low crotch makes it so comfortable. Although they aren’t the most flattering pair of pants, they work well with taller, longer legged people. I’m pretty happy that not too many people in my town have jumped into the harem-pants-bandwagon, though. I have a few pairs and they’re totally unique! :D

2. Designer Collaborations- What is better than having high end designers collaborate than affordable brands? We saw a lot of that this year! From Karl Lagerfeld X Impulse for Macy’s, to Missoni X Target, up to Versace X H&M, I bet a lot of fashion savvy people that don’t necessarily buy designer items often are running around in their Chanels, Missonis, and Versaces! Thank you Macy’s, Target, and H&M!

3. Prayers for Disaster Victims- A lot of natural disasters happened around the globe this year and it was amazing to see the whole world (or even just tumblr) get together and pray for the victims. It just proves to show that there is good in everybody! I hope to see more of that in 2012- the prayers, that is, not the disasters!
