Christmas Decorating 2011

I love searching the internet for Christmas tree decorating inspirations! This is the mess I made with our tree this year. LOL

(Above) My favorite find from last year were these matte, pearl white Christmas balls from my local Goodwill. Adding gold glitter to some of them were a blast! This year, they’re tucked inside our tree to give it some depth.

My favorite Christmas ornaments are icicles! They’re simply elegant. Every year, we try to get more and more icicles added into our collection so that we can have more and more up on the tree each year!

Ribbons are a great way to fill up a Christmas tree. Seriously, you can get a hundred feet of ribbon for under $10! Make your trees look classy for cheap!

My favorite find this year were these Snowflake Christmas lights. They were a bit expensive, but they’re beautiful. In the beginning, I opted for all glass ornaments, which is why I got these, but I figured that I’d spend hundreds of dollars for glass ornaments, so I’ll save that idea for the year that I save tons of money! LOL

So we just went for a more modest color scheme. Silver, white, and gold with hints of dark blues. I also put in colorful lights on the inside of the tree to add a little “POP” (as people would say). LOL (:

From my family to yours, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
